Post Group Luxembourg HQ - Mercier Building

LuxembourgOffices and Workplace

Project Description

Post Group Luxembourg intended in the early 2010s to create an office building for their administrative services in the railway station district of Luxembourg.

The building, finished in 2018, was intended to have an innovative and future-oriented energy concept and an ecological certification. Goblet Lavandier & Assosicés Ingénieurs Conseils S.A. (GL&Ass) won the mission for complete M&E design after a predesign contest.

Key Features

For the design of the building software, tools were used to perform dynamic simulations on energy consumption and on computation fluid dynamics CFD (atrium optimisation). The energy standard is AAA, considered as a nZEB (nearly zero energy building). A photovoltaic system completes the technical equipment.

The building was certified DGNB (Deutsche Gesellschaft Nachhaltiges Bauen) platinum.
