Project description

The high-rise is a hybrid wood structure. Staircase, basement floor and ceilings are built in concrete. The loadbearing pillars and down stand beams as well as the façade are constructed out of wooden elements. In the façade, a photovoltaic system with colour coated solar modules is integrated into the parapet cladding. Together with the large-scale photovoltaic system on the roof it generates an energy yield of up to 130’000 kWh/a and covers approximately 50% of the electricity requirements of the apartments.

The supply comes from a site heating network. In addition to the heat from the local heating network, the waste heat from the exhaust air system of the toilet ventilation is used. A gentle cooling is also realized via the underfloor heating. All common rooms as well as the two tenant extensions, the bistro and offices, are supplied with the hygienically necessary air exchange. For the apartments, only a toilet exhaust air with natural air intake and recirculating air kitchen hoods are provided.
