Redevelopment & Expansion of Spotify Camp Nou (FC Barcelona Stadium)

Project Description

JG Ingenieros provides MEP construction administration services for the redevelopment and expansion of Camp Nou, in a joint venture with Torrella Consulting. Withing this partnership, JG is responsible for MEP systems, while Torrella leads the structural and foundations scope. Our responsibilities include:

•Review and approval of the contractor’s Detailed Design
•Construction administration / supervision

The project involves major interventions, including:

•Demolition of the existing third tier and the canopy of the main stand.
•Construction of a new third tier, increasing the stadium’s capacity to nearly 105,000 spectators, making it the largest stadium in Europe by capacity.

•Construction of a new 45,000 m2 roof, integrating 6,000 m2 of photovoltaic panels, ensuring full weather protection for all spectators.

•Comprehensive upgrades to stadium entrances, first and second tiers, approximately 90 corporate boxes, VIP and player-exclusive areas, parking facilities, the club museum, and overall, the renovation of almost the entire stadium complex.
