Project Description
In 2017, the local government in Gothenburg was commissioned by politicians to build a fossil-free preschool. Hope is a concrete initiative to stimulate innovation and generate knowledge that leads to better conditions for fossil-free construction. The preschool shall, as far as possible, be built fossil-free and with a minimal climate footprint, in everything from material production and transport of materials to energy use in the finished building. Any remaining climate footprint after the completed building will also be compensated.
Our Input
In the project, Bengt Dahlgren worked as project support within the environment and LCA as well as electrical projectors. When you want to achieve sustainability in electrical design, there are different ways to do it. Bengt Dahlgren has designed recycled cable ladders and cable protection pipes made from recycled installation waste and bio-based plastic.
Key Features
With a strong focus on the climate issue, it has been possible to calculate a 70% reduction in climate impact when it comes to large building components. Experiences from the construction project have been passed on in the guide for climate-efficient construction that has been developed within the research project S2C. Our assignment includes project support for environment and LCA as well as electrical design.
