Project description
The new schoolhouse in Muhen is built to meet modern educational needs and the needs of the wider school community. There are two new buildings, one is a double kindergarten and the other has the gymnasium on the ground floor and classrooms above. The new all-weather square in the northern extension takes up the lines of the north school building and creates a connection to the newly designed, covered break area of the secondary school next door.
Our input
The classrooms are ventilated manually via the windows. For this purpose, ventilation sashes were optimised for a push ventilation function. The sports areas (gymnasium and cloakrooms in the cascade), kitchen and wet rooms are mechanically ventilated. The heating is supplied by an area heating system and distributed to the school and sports hall via underfloor heating.
