Description       
The new building complex replaced the Merkurijus Shopping Centre in Laisves al., Kaunas, and features 30,000 sq. m. of space comprising of three blocks. The complex will offer a variety of amenities and spaces for various purposes.

Our Input
MEPCO engineers were responsible for the MEP system design and building engineering systems for the Merkurijus project. The energy concept of the building was developed at an early stage, and a preliminary design was created before the detailed MEP design was finalised. The Merkurijus was designed using BIM methodology.

 Key Features
The complex will have 3,500 sq. m. of space dedicated to conference and meeting rooms, cultural and arts spaces, leisure activity agencies, retail, facility services, cafes, and dining. It offers 48 luxurious apartments with stunning cityscape views, 5,500 sq. m. of A+ class modern office space, and a world-famous hotel network with 130 rooms. The building design meets all BREEAM requirements, ensuring that it is environmentally sustainable and energy-efficient
