Project Description
Aided by a robust technical foundation and evaluation strategy designed by Ethos’ digital design and advisory group, LinkedIn aims to leverage fault detection and diagnostics (FDD) and computerised maintenance management (CMMS) in a smart building environment at One Wilton Park for the effective implementation of continuous and connected commissioning of their EU headquarters office fit-out, realising the full potential of the workplace while maximizing the value of the assets.
One Wilton Park in Dublin is being designed as a smart building campus with 8 stories and 2 basement levels and is an important step within LinkedIn’s EU workplace expansion plans. The building includes 1100 desk spaces, a 390-seat restaurant with a full kitchen, terrace garden, and parking facilities.
Our Input
Acting in the client advisory role as technical project manager, Ethos is tasked primarily with delivering the smart building project in line with LinkedIn KPIs. The key areas targeted within the project scope are:
•Monitoring base build design to verify its suitability for a smart building fit-out as well as evaluating fit-out MEP systems and building readiness.
•Coordinating building ontology requirements for the design and installation of a powerful underlying technology foundation
•Conducting client workshops focused on critical employee user experiences and outcomes targeting flexible spaces, employee wellness, continuous commissioning, and smart facility management.
•Assessing the building operation and facility management tools (including the FDD and CMMS systems) to maximise lifetime building efficiency.
One of the key Ethos inputs is a unique feature of the project- a Fault Detection and Diagnostic (FDD) tool, backed by an analytical, rules-based engine. Integrating with the middleware to raise error or malfunction alarms for critical building systems, the FDD tool maximises asset value for LinkedIn during the operational lifetime of the building.
Ethos is also assisting LinkedIn with the procurement and implementation of a CMMS tool that provides digital and agile realization of all facility management workflows initiated through the FDD tool or by the FM teams.
