Katajanokan Laituri

Project Description

Katajanokan Laituri is a wooden office complex that houses a hotel as well as Stora Enso’s headquarters. It is located by the sea in the center of Helsinki and was built on a very challenging construction site. The project serves as an exemplary model of sustainable building.

Our Input
In the project we were responsible for HVAC, electrical and building automation design, lighting and audiovisual design, fire extinguishing systems design as well as for sustainability consulting.

Key Features
Katajanokan Laituri has received numerous awards, ranging from architectural prizes to the Wooden Building of the Year Award. The project was characterized by an excellent team spirit, with all parties fully committed to developing the design solutions, a commitment that is clearly reflected in the outstanding final result. The project was completed fully in line with the client’s goals.
