Project description
Kaj 16 is an innovative and inspiring urban development project that aims to create a dynamic and open environment for entrepreneurs, innovators, businesses, and visitors. Located in Gothenburg, the project will be a landmark for the city's sustainable transformation, featuring one of Sweden’s largest timber constructions with 12 out of 16 floors built in wood. The design promotes a vibrant mixed-use cityscape with active ground floors offering services and social spaces, along with modern, flexible office areas designed to foster collaboration and innovation.

The focus is on delivering efficient and sustainable solutions, ensuring optimal indoor environmental quality, and integrating smart systems that enhance energy efficiency and operational performance. The project is also working extensively with circular construction principles, incorporating reclaimed materials from the site’s previous structure to minimise environmental impact.
