Project Description
Working in conjunction with Mace to providing 524 new homes, N06 is the next major phase on the East Village Development in Stratford, East London. This phase consists of two towers, at 26 and 31 storeys, and two 10-storey pavilions linked together through an inhabited sky-bridge.
The skybridge between the towers will provide amenity space for residents, including mini-cinema, workspace and exercise room.
The design solutions will assimilate with any innovative construction methodology used for this project and integrate with the extensive pre-fabrication strategy for the building construction across the whole development. This includes main plant and distribution through to apartment services, bathroom pods and utility cupboards, facilitating efficiency in both construction cost and programming. We have had intensive engagement with both Mace and their supply chain on this strategy.
chapmanbdsp was also appointed to provide a technical verification and infill design assistance/support role to the Main Contractor (Mace) on East Village NO8. Our role was to bridge the Stage F elements between the CMT MEP consultant and the appointed MEP sub-contractors, where installation drawings generated changes to the design. N08 includes 480 homes for private rent within two towers (standing at 30 storey’s and 26 Storey’s) located between Vesta House and Victory Park. The ground floors contains retail and commercial units.
