Project description
The city of Bruges has a large and diverse building heritage, including schools, museums, administrative buildings, heritage buildings and sports infrastructure. The ‘Route plan for climate-neutral city buildings’ project was launched to provide insight into the necessary sustainability improvements for 67 buildings. An energy performance certificate (EPC-NR) was drawn up for these buildings, and an extensive analysis was carried out for each building to achieve climate neutrality.
Our Input
Our contribution consisted of carrying out the detailed analysis for each building and developing energy-saving measures, such as insulation, heat pumps, solar panels, and more. We calculated the investment costs, energy savings and CO2 reduction for each measure. In addition, each building was checked to see if it met the legal requirements.
Key Features
•Visualisation of the necessary investments and priorities for each building.
•Impact analysis of energy-saving measures on energy consumption, CO2 emissions and energy costs.
•A dynamic tool that allows the city to make changes to the data and update energy consumption.
•The roadmap serves as a working tool for the city to adjust goals and align strategic plans.
