Al - Urubah Park, Riyadh

Project description

A green lung for the city of Riyadh, blending innovative design with intelligent water resource management. The Al-Urubah Park is one of the city’s largest public green space projects and a key component of the “Green Riyadh Project”, a broader urban development plan set to be completed by 2030. This initiative is also a vital part of the Saudi Vision, which aims to position Riyadh among the world’s top 100 most livable cities. Park’s attractions include an urban beach, a sports area, an amphitheatre for cultural events and four themed gardens.

Our Input
Manens developed the concept, design development and detailed MEP design of stormwater management system and related engineering plants; irrigation system; fire&safety systems; security systems; air conditioning and power supply systems for the park’s main buildings; lighting design for the entire park; collaborating synergistically with the various design teams involved.

Key Features
A true multidisciplinary project that involved high-level and highly skilled professionals. From technologies to sustainability aspects and water resource management, the design fully combined engineering, technology and environment to offer a new open space, conceived to be enjoyed by the entire community.
