Unique / Key Features

The project will use technological systems which use the subsoil heat for heating and cooling the spaces.

This project is one of the most important renovations that the University of Padua is conducting. In the former geriatric hospital will be placed libraries, classrooms and offices. The new buildings have been equipped with a geothermal air conditioning system with a very high profile, which will greatly reduce emissions and operating costs of all the buildings that the university has acquired: a heat pump transfers the heat from the building to the subsoil during the summer, then using that heat during the winter for heating the structure.
